Removing a student from your class depends on how your class was created. If you created the class directly in CK-12, you can manage your roster in CK-12. If you class is connected to Canvas, Schoology or Google Classroom, student enrollment is managed in your LMS.
Remove Students from a CK-12 Class
- Sign in to your CK-12 account.
- Select "My Classes" from the navigation menu.
- Open the class you want to manage.
- Go to the "Members" tab.
- Find the student you want to remove.
- Select the three dots next to the student's name
- Confirm you want to remove the student from the class
Note: Removing a student from your class does not delete their CK-12 account; it only removed them from your class.
Remove Students from a Canvas or Schoology
- Remove the student from the course in the LMS
- Launch CK-12 from the LMS to allow the roster to sync
- The student will no longer appear in your CK-12 class after synchronization is complete.
Roster changes should always be made in the LMS, not in CK-12.
Remove Students from Google Classroom
- Open your class in Google Classroom.
- Remove the student from the class.
- Return to CK-12 and refresh or reconnect the class if prompted.
- The updated roster will sync from Google Classroom.
Why is the Student Still Showing in My CK-12 Class?
- Wait a few minutes for the roster to sync
- Launch CK-12 again from your LMS
- Verify the student was successfully removed from the LMS
If your roster is not updating after removing a student, contact CK-12 support (support@ck12.org).
