Teacher Agent Quick Start Guide

The CK-12 Teacher Agent is designed to help educators streamline lesson planning, instructional design, and classroom preparation through AI-powered workflows grounded in CK-12’s educational resources.

This guide will help you get started with creating lesson workflows, generating instructional materials, and reviewing AI-generated content.

Getting Started

  1. Sign in to your CK-12 teacher account at CK-12.
  2. Open the Teacher Agent from the available educator tools.
  3. Describe your instructional goal using natural language.
  4. Review the generated materials and refine them as needed.

The more context you provide, the more personalized and useful the results will be.

Creating a Lesson Workflow

The Teacher Agent is designed to support multi-step instructional planning.

Instead of creating only one resource at a time, the Agent can help build a connected lesson experience that includes:

  • Learning objectives
  • Classroom activities
  • Assessments
  • Discussion prompts
  • CK-12 resource recommendations
  • Differentiated materials

Example Workflow Prompt

Example:

  • Create a Grade 6 lesson on ecosystems that includes learning objectives, a classroom activity, discussion questions, an exit ticket, and relevant CK-12 resources.

Additional Workflow Examples

  • Build a week-long unit plan on forces and motion.
  • Create a lesson sequence for solving linear equations with guided practice and assessments.
  • Generate differentiated activities for teaching photosynthesis to mixed learning levels.
  • Recommend CK-12 simulations and practice resources for weather and climate.
